The computer will shuffle and deal all the cards face down. You get to go first and choose one of the six categories on your first card. You need to choose the category that you think is the strongest giving you the best chance of winning that turn. Once you’ve made your selection, the computer will turn your opponents card to reveal whether you have won or lost the turn. Whoever’s card has the greater value wins that turn. If the values are the same it is a draw. The player who is in control of the game at that point then chooses another category from the next card. The first person to win a turn also wins the drawn cards that are kept in the middle of the screen. If your card wins then the opponents card together with yours go to the back of your pack leaving you to choose a category from the next card. If your card loses then your computer opponent gets to keep the cards. The computer then displays your next card while it chooses a category. It then turns it’s card over to show whether you have won or lost the turn. If your card draws the player who is in control of the game at that point then chooses another category from the next card. The first person to win a turn also wins the drawn cards that are kept in the middle of the screen. The first person to win all 30 cards is the winner. But with Top Trumps Live it doesn’t end there! Each of your opponents in these levels will have progressively more and more cards that you will have to win in order to proceed.
